Design History
design_history2.mp4

The Design History icon allows you to see previous revisions of the set up and notes submitted to the Insignia technicians.

Notes
notes3.mp4

The Notes icon gives you the ability to save and send notes. To add a note, click the Add new note button, click a tooth and click away. A text box will pop up, giving you the option to send a note to the technician or save a note for yourself. Write your Note and click Submit.

Photos
photos3.mp4

The Photos icon allows you to evaluate the design with the patient records within the software. You are able to view extraoral photos, intraoral photos, x-rays and a model comparison view. Within these views, you can toggle between T1 to T2 evaluating tooth movement with visibility to the patient photos as a reference.

Movie
movie2.mp4

With the Movie icon, you are able to play the progression of treatment from T1 to T2. The Superimpose button provides you with the ability to view the final position of the teeth superimposed over the initial malocclusion.

Archform
archform.mp4

The Archform function allows you to see the custom arch form designed for your particular patient, as well as how much expansion is occurring. Here you will see noted, the initial arch width T1 and the final arch width T2. This number shows you how much the arch width will expand.

By clicking one of the green control points and dragging, you have complete control over the final arch form, which affects both the lower and upper arches.

Smile Arc
smile_arc.mp4

Smile Arc allows you to make changes to the anterior tooth position as a unit. Click on a green control point and drag to adjust the smile arc or overbite. You can also turn “On” the Smiling Photo, which gives you visibility of the patient photos as you are evaluating and adjusting the final smile design.

Clipping Interaction
clipping_JR2.mp4

Clipping interaction gives you the ability to see exactly how the teeth inter-digitate, by sliding the toolbar from left to right. This function gives you an in-depth view for evaluating the final occlusion. You can double click any of the teeth to make adjustments needed.

If you deselect the ‘Clip view parallel to screen’ option, you will be able to see the clipping plane in view of the digital model, at that point you can rotate the digital model and examine tooth position. Within the occlusogram window, the location of the clipping plane is visible. By clicking on it, you are able to slide the clipping plane to a specific contact point, giving you the view of this contact in the clipping screen.

Marginal Ridges
marginal_ridges.mp4

When reviewing a case, you can evaluate how marginal ridges have been aligned. Rotate the model to view marginal ridges as you would clinically. Great views for evaluating this would be by positioning the digital model in a buccal view and rotating the model down, or in the lingual view by rotating the model up. Make any modifications to tooth position by double clicking the tooth and making changes as you see fit.

Light Source
light_source2.mp4

Light source is a great tool to create a shadow on the teeth, giving you the ability to see the detailed anatomy of the tooth structure to ensure it is in the ideal position.

Check Symmetry and Aesthetics
check_symmetry_and_aesthetics.mp4

Setup can be viewed with a grid positioned either behind the digital model, or in front. Each box within the grid is a 1mm measurement. By using the Pan tool, you can drag the model along the Grid to check and adjust symmetry. Continue dragging the model down to a reference line, checking to see that the bicuspids and molars are symmetric in their vertical position. To turn off the Grid, click on the Grid icon and select the option to turn off.

Damon Ruler
damon_ruler.mp4

The Damon Ruler provides an exact digital replica of the Damon plastic ruler. To display the Damon Ruler click on Grid icon and then select the Damon Ruler. You will now be able to view the patient’s custom Archform in relation to the Damon Ruler.

Detail Upper Arch Changes
upper_arch_changes_to_tooth_position.mp4

This occlusal view is a good view for evaluating rotations and in and out. To make changes, just double click on the tooth and move to the desired position. As you rotate the model down, it gives you a different perspective of tooth position, as the reflective lighting changes. Here you can see that in this position the upper left canine needs to rotate in mesially.

Compass Tool with Contra-Lateral Movement
compass_contralateral_V2.mp4

Along with being able to make individual tooth movements, you can utilize the Compass icon. Here you are able to apply symmetric changes to contra-lateral teeth. Turn on this option and double click a tooth. You will notice symmetric movement being applied to both teeth.

T2 to Current
t2_to_current2.mp4

T2 is the suggested finish by the designer. T1 is your initial malocclusion. With Insignia you have full control of how your case is designed. You are able to double click a tooth and make any movements you feel are necessary. These changes will be reflected in the current tab.

Customized Brackets
customized_brackets_12-10-13.mp4

Insignia is a fully customized bracket system. In the Approver interface, you are able to see where the brackets will be bonded. In this T1 position, you can see how the patient will look on bonding day and foresee any collisions or interferences that may occur.

The brackets are placed centered to the tooth according to the designed finish. The software will then provide you with a fully customized bracket prescription per tooth, according to the movement that will occur. Insignia will build in a custom torque prescription in order to achieve your ideal finish more efficiently.

Detail on Lower Incisors
incisors2_(1).mp4

The model has been positioned in a lower view to begin review of the lower arch. Use the Magnify tool to get a closer view. Rotate the model to detail the lower incisor relationship. To change a tooth’s position, double click on the tooth, placing your mouse over the desired axis and dragging the tooth to your preferred final position. Double click away to save.

DigiCastTM
digicast_2.mp4

DigiCast is a digital study model with a base. With DigiCast you are able to digitally perform tooth measurements and generate diagnostic analysis for your patients. By clicking the Tooth width measurement icon, you are able to calculate and gather the widths of all teeth. Once these measurements have been collected, you can click on the Diagnostic Tools icon to generate a Space analysis, Bolton or T-J/Moyers Analysis. You are also able to measure and save the initial overbite, overjet, and arch width. Click on the ABO icon to gather measurements and generate an ABO score for your case. The analysis, measurements and reports can be saved and printed for your records. DigiCast setups are included at no charge with all of your Insignia case submissions.

Wire Plane
wire_plane_(2).mp4

Wire Plane shows the plane of the archwire as it travels through the slot of each bracket. There are three different control points that will move the wire plane. The movements made will indicate where you prefer the brackets to be placed on T2.

Capture Data with Ease with Real Time Images

Lythos is designed to make your first or next step into digital impressions innovative and easy as it captures accurate, detailed intraoral data.

Point and Click

Digital impressions with traditional point-and-click technology are limited because they capture images singularly. The camera must focus and then capture the image, move to the next area and repeat.

Video Capture

Ormco’s AFI technology captures and stitches high-resolution data together in real time, acquiring high-definition surface detail at all angulations of the tooth surface. Unique to orthodontic impression systems, Lythos captures up to 2 million 3D points per second which results in a rapid and seamless high-resolution scan option for added simplicity.

“With Lythos I can capture accurate and detailed records the first time. I had retainers made through AOA using a Lythos scan and it was the perfect fit without any adjustments needed! I never received this level of accuracy before using Lythos.”

— Dr. Andrew Sicklick, DDS, Cedarhurst, NY
